ProForm Treadmills: The 680 Trainer
61One of the greatest names in home fitness is the well-known ProForm Treadmills. They make super high quality pieces, which retail for a lot less than you would think. They have been around a long time, and most people have at least some inkling of the business they’re in and the type of products they put out year in and year out. Let’s take a look at some of their machines, as well as their reputation to see if it all holds up well together.
First of all, let’s look at a ProForm treadmill that almost anyone should be able to afford. I know that one of the things that hold people back from getting one is often the price. Anything over $1000 can start to look a little expensive. That’s why I like the 680 Trainer model. It goes for about $650 if you can get it when it’s on sale straight from the manufacturer.
A simple, smaller part of the Proform treadmill line
This is a smaller ProForm treadmill, obviously, and it is not decked out with all the gizmos and gadgets that you’re going to get for a high-end machine, but it’s still a very solid buy. It is what is called a “quiet” electric treadmill, because… well it runs quietly.
This is great because you can keep it, say, in your dressing room right next to master bedroom. While your wife or husband is still sleeping you’ll be able to get your morning jog in a mere few feet and one wall separating the two of you. (I know that sometimes we have to stick our ProForm treadmills in strange places like upstairs rooms or even computer rooms because we don’t have room anywhere else.)
Inexpensive Treadmills vs Cheap Treadmills
The basic function is going to be to enable you to get your workout in a very convenient way. I know that gyms are very popular these days, but it’s sure nice to be able to cut out an extra daily commute. I encourage everyone to consider the implications for their health should they install a ProForm in their home. And although they can be inexpensive - they aren't cheap.
If you have the room, the whole array of ProForm treadmills will treat you very well. Whatever is your budget, they almost definitely have something that can meet your needs. I wouldn’t be surprised if they even have some sort of financing deal worked out. (Anything to get that inventory moving.) Before long, you and your family will have shed a couple of pounds all from the comfort of the home. Stick a TV up on the wall for an even more fun time.

I used to have the proform crosswalk caliber elite treadmill, and it did a great job of keeping me fit. Unfortunately I went through a rough patch and had to sell it off, but I would definitely recommend it as a solid machine.
